The resolutions passed on Wednesday by The Supreme Court Collegium, led by CJI DY Chandrachud and comprising Justice Sanjeev Khanna and BR Gavai has recommended the appointment of new Chief Justices for several High Courts, including Rajasthan, Allahabad, Gauhati, Punjab & Haryana, and Jharkhand.
• Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava, the senior most judge from the High Court of Chhattisgarh, has been recommended for the position of Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court.
• Justice Arun Bhansali has been recommended for the role of Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court.
• Justice Vijay Bishnoi, a judge of the Rajasthan High Court, has been recommended for the role of Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court.
• Justice Sheel Nagu, a judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, has been recommended to become the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
• Justice BR Sarangi of the Orissa High Court has been recommended for the position of Chief Justice.
