About the Competition

City College of Law (Lucknow) in collaboration with Dream Law is pleased to extend an invitation for participation in the 2nd Samar Kumar Basu National Virtual Moot Court Competition, 2024. The Moot Court Competition is scheduled to take place from 5^th July to 7^th July 2024 via Virtual Mode.

After successfully organising our first moot court competition where 95 teams from across India participated and were judged by Retired Judges, Senior Advocates, Advocates and Professors.

The main aim of the competition is to promote commitment towards experimental learning and to facilitate students in cumulating immense knowledge. The Moot Court Competition develops coherent legal insight among students and is essential to develop practical skills.

Eligibility Criteria

Students duly enrolled and pursuing full time 5 years or 3 years undergraduate law courses may apply to participate in the given competition. Students enrolled in post graduation diploma or short term certification courses are not eligible to apply.

The team composition of the given competition shall comprise of the following:

1. 2 speakers OR
2. 2 speakers and 1 Researcher

Important Dates

• Last Date of Registration: 10th June, 2024
• Last Date for Memorial Submission: 25th June, 2024
• Clarification Session (Moot Problem and Rules): 15th June, 2024
• Competition Dates: 5th to 7th July, 2024

Registration Details

• The last date of registration is 10th June, 2024 by 11:59:59 PM. The teams must register online by 10th June 2024.
• The Registration fees is ‘Rupees 1800/- Per Team’ only.
• The registration shall be done by filling up the registration form (Google Form) available at the end of this post.

• The registration shall be considered complete only when the Registration Fee has been paid successfully and the registration codes to each team through mail which shall be quoted by the teams for further communications with the organising committee.
• The participants will receive an official approval mail from the organising committee within 48 hours of their registration.
• The organising committee shall communicate the Team Leader for all the necessary communication.
• Registration fee once paid is non-refundable.
