About the Organizer

The Moot Court Committee at Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, is the official student-run body consisting of members across the five batches of the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program. It is entrusted with administering mooting activities and events at the University.

About the Competition

Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University is extremely proud and excited to announce the registration of its flagship arbitration moot, i.e. RMLNLU–Kochhar & Co. Arbitration Moot Court Competition, 2024.

This moot is being organised in association with Kochhar & Co. as the Title Sponsor.

Eligibility Criteria

Students pursuing the three or five-year courses of the LL.B. degree or its equivalent in the academic year 2023-2024 from any recognized law school/college/University in India/abroad are eligible to participate.
Any recognized law school/college/University shall be entitled to send only 1 (one)team to the Competition.
The participating team shall comprise a minimum of two and a maximum of three members. In a team of two members, both members shall be designated as Speakers.
In a team of three members, two members shall be designated as Speakers and the third member of the team shall be designated as a Researcher.
No additional member or team coach is allowed to accompany the team

General Rules

The official language of the Competition shall be English
The participating team shall be allotted a team code upon registration.
The student counsels shall notstate their names or the names of the Institution to which they belong during the oral rounds, and, instead, must use the team code allotted.
The team shall not disclose their identity anywhere in their Memorials and instead, must use the team code allotted.

Last date for Final Registration of the Teams: 10th January, 2024
Release of Final Clarifications: 15th January, 2024
Deadline for Submission of Soft Copy of Memorials: 28th January, 2024
Deadline for Submission of Hard Copy of Memorials: 23rd February, 2024
Inaugural Ceremony: 23rd February, 2024
Oral Rounds: 24th-25th February, 2024
Valedictory Ceremony: 25th February, 2024

A Grand Prize Pool of Rs. 1,50,000 in addition to Internship slots has been set forth under various awards categories at the 2nd RMLNLU-Kochhar & Co. Arbitration Moot Court Competition, 2024.
