About the College

Sadanlal Sanwaldas Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj is a Constituent College of the University of Allahabad. The college has been graded by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) at ‘A’ grade in the last two cycles of five years each for sustaining high standards in teaching and continuous efforts in promoting girls’ education. The college has been granted affiliation for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) by the Bar Council of India as well as the University of Allahabad in the name of Saroj Lalji Mehrotra Centre of Legal Studies since 2019.

About the Competition

Saroj Lalji Mehrotra Centre of Legal Studies, in collaboration with the esteemed Chandhiok and Mahajan, SCC Online as the Knowledge Partner, and SCC Times as Media Partner is organizing the 2nd Justice Gopalji Mehrotra National Moot Court Competition on 16th & 17th November 2024.

Eligibility

The Competition is open to students who are currently enrolled in any Five Year Integrated Course in Law in India, provided that the institution is officially recognized by the Bar Council of India, or to students who are currently enrolled in any undergraduate law course at any Central University in India. Each institution is limited to send only ONE team in the competition. Cross-institutional/mixed-team participation is not allowed.

Mode of the Competition

The Competition will be held in physical mode at S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj.

The Competition will comprise two rounds: (i) Memorial Round and (ii) Oral Rounds. Sixteen highest scoring teams in the Memorial Round will only advance to the Oral Rounds.

Registration Fees

Teams selected to participate in the Oral Rounds shall pay a registration fee of Rs. 3000.

Deadline

Last date for provisional registration and seeking clarifications has been extended till 30th September 2024. Last date for submission of memorials has been extended till 13th October 2024. Updated timeline of the Competition can be accessed at the college website.

Cash Prizes

The Competition carries a cash prize of Rs. 2,00,000 for the winners and Rs. 1,00,000 for the runners-up, along with other prizes.
